Snappers Sports Tavern Namisniak’s Restaurant Inc. was established at its present address in 1933 when Prohibition ended. We have the oldest liquor license in the county.
Snapper’s has been a family owned and operated business ever since John and Catherine Namisniak were the driving force of the neighborhood tavern through the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Their son Andy worked the business with them until they retired in the 60’s.
Andy, better known as Snapper to his friends, ran the small neighborhood tavern with his wife Peggy in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. At that time their son Tom joined his father and worked his way through high school and college. At that point, they added the name Snapper’s Sports Tavern to the business and made it was it is today.
Today, Tom and his wife Michelle run the Sports Tavern. They have 31 flat screen TVs with any and all the sports you would want to watch. Verizon WiFi is also available for a more personal experience. Stop by and give us a look. You’ll like what you see. See you soon!
